Mrs. Shinja Kennaugh is MSTI’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to becoming CFO, Mrs. Kennaugh was MSTI’s first female vice-president while serving as Vice President and Comptroller. She has had a long career in finance, joining MSTI in 2000 as the Financial Manager. She is responsible for upgrading MSTI’s accounting program to the DCAA approved DELTEK system, which allows MSTI to automate much of the timesheet, payroll, and benefit administration functions. In addition, she is also responsible for the current online payroll information system, cutting mail and handling costs and improving employees’ access to their own records.
Mrs. Kennaugh also has spearheaded the implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) as applicable to MSTI’s portfolio of contracts, in response to the federal government’s implementation of EVM as a performance criterion. Mrs. Kennaugh also provides all costing information during the proposal development process. She has combined the accounting and contracts management into one unit, increasing efficiency and saving MSTI thousands of dollars. Mrs. Kennaugh is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
